winter stove

Winter Stove

The Winter Stove is just like any other stove, except it is powered by snow and ice instead of wood or coal.

To create such a stove yourself you can just start loading your excess snow and ice into any stove you have and it should light with blue flames.

You can hook the output pipe up to any container like a cabinet, box,... and turn that into a cooler.

The downside of this Winter stove is that you constantly need to be fuelling it with snow and ice which might not always be easy to get.

How it works...

vs

Flying Bottle

Another way to keep your beer cold is by using the Flying Bottles trick. You tie one or several balloons to your bottle to make it float up really high where it is colder.

Whenever you feel like having a beer you take out your trusty hunting rifle and shoot the balloons until you see your bottle coming down.

There are two downsides to this trick:

  • you end up with a lot of rubber waste; *
  • catch your bottle before it crashes down on the ground.
Take aiming classes!

* If you are a heavy drinker.

Beer-horn

Apart from being very effective, the Beer-horn is also fun. Its a way of communication that makes an announcement feel extra special.

It can be heard from all over the world. So no worries there is always someone who will answer.

A potential downside, because it can be heard from literally everywhere, is that you might get noise complaints.

change the taste

Change the taste

Want to try something new? No worries this tip has got you covered. If you’re tired of the way your beer tastes then its just as easy as putting it in a cabinet to change its taste, colour, alcohol percentage,...

Depending on where you put your beer it changes, put it in a tree and it will get a woody flavour, place it in a dark cabinet and it will become dark of colour. The longer you leave it in that place the higher the alcohol percentage gets.

A downside is that if you forget about it, you might end up with a beer that is so strong it could be considered disinfectant.

And

Taste Tester

The Taste Tester is a device you can put together quite easily when living off the grid. All you need is some sort of calculator/measuring device, wires and a tongue you got off an animal you hunted down for food. Sorry vegans.

You connect the tongue to the calculator using th wires and voila you have a Taste Tester.

You can use it to test the taste of beers you either altered yourself or new ones you bought. Just drip some on the tongue and you’ll see the what it tastes like on the screen.

The downside as mentioned before is that you need a tongue, so this is not a tip vor the vegans.
